Week 29
Hello Everyone :D
Yep I'll see you thursday at 12 or 1 our time so is that 10 or 11 you time??? at the Elder's quorum President's place. We are allowed 60 mins. see you then. I figured if I got it out of the way in your morning you can spend all night with the Filos and don't have to leave early :)
Yes Dan Moeke told me he was talking to Matt and so did Bro Henderson and Bishop Nordstrum. This week was pretty hectic, we found a new investigator D had a Book of Mormon had read it and had some questions about it. we caught him just in time as he was heading out, perfect timing as usual; Heavenly Father's pretty good with that stuff ;P but bc he is working through Christmas and new year we're going to see him on the 8th Jan. D is still good for his baptism on the 3rd.
No box yet, it's sitting in the ZL car.... I did get some letters from my friends this week tho :D I guess they have more time to write now that uni is on holidays.
So Mission Conference was great and guess who stayed the night at my flat!!! ELDER TAYLOR!!! (I think I've mentioned before Reilly and Elder Taylor have known each other since they were young, so he's always happy to catch up with him while they serve in the Hamilton mission) the Gizzy elders stay the night bc it's too far a drive so we got back monday night after temple lights at 11pm (its ok if you doing stuff at the temple lights you're allowed to get back that late) and we find 4 gizzy elders at or flat Elder Smith, Elder Razband, Elder Faloon and Elder Taylor. anyway so 6 showers the morning of mission conference so got up early too, we were all very tired that day... Then at the mission conference I meet Elder Nalesoni who remembers me from Doonside (he was in Glendenning) he said "you look exactly the same just taller, I remember a shorter you running around the chapel" caught up with all the other missionaries esp the ones back in Rewa apparently I'm missed :) hahaha that's what Elder Sim said and Elder Butler's son Elder Lingwal says he still goes round saying "Elda Cox" (he really emphasises the fact that we don't pronounce the 'r' on the end) we had all these different sessions one talked about studying the scriptures good one from that Jacob 2:8, Here. and 3 Nephi 17:3 Here. we need to ponder what we have already learnt and prepare our minds before we get more knowledge. there was another about defending our Faith we were in little groups for these sessions (oh and guess which group I was in - ORANGE :P (his favourite colour!!) haha) another one was about the events leading to the Saviour's birth and one was unity building games where we had to think outside the box a bit.
last Thursday I taught our Book of Mormon class it was Jacob 5 so I taught it using lego (well duplo really) D said he liked the lesson and it was simple and easy to understand bc after he had finished reading (people are meant to read the chapters during the week and then we explain/ expound in the class) he was abit "huuuhhh whaaattt???" and he wasn't going to read 77 verses all over again haha but some verses from there Jacob 5:41, 47 Here. "What could I have done more.." and its true what can He do more he has already done everything.
@ DAD: so who isn't coming to my mission (Someone that Stoo knows has a daughter going to Hamilton mission in April 2015) ..... and yeah you'll see me thursday
Oh and Jared (Elders Q Pres) would like your Cherry Ripe Mud Cake recipe so if you have it on a blog somewhere or whatever you can tell him thurs or send it through and I'll pass it on :)

1 Nephi 17:3 Here.
