Week 24
Hello Everyone :D
Sis F is doing good, so are the P's. B and J were busy this week sadly (J has shift work dunno what B's excuse is).... but we did find G :D he was a referral from ages ago that we could never contact bc he had work or uni and so he had the old phone number anyway so Sis Marsden (she deals with referrals) gives us a call and says the missionaries in Gisborne (where our number went to after our phone stopped working) keep getting text from G to go visit him. so we went and saw him - He's got a girlfriend on a mission in Philippines and he wants to learn about the gospel YAAYYY!!! this is the funny bit tho he's been getting letters and she had put some scripture references in them (Nephi, Alma etc) and he shows us and says "I think this is something in the language over there" to which we explain "no they're references to scriptures in the Book of Mormon"!! HAHAHA he seems really keen to learn and we asked if he wanted to be baptised and he goes "not right now... maybe later, I want to learn more first" hahaha sounds promising :)
So we went EELING!!!!!! yup P'day activity got some photos Elder Butler and Wangsgard caught an eel each but I broke my rod trying to pull it in...... :/
Elder Prasad got a flat tyre after we fixed the flat tyre so we gave up and decided to walk most of the week but members from all over (Whangarei, Papakura) would see us walking, pull over and give us a lift to our appointments and we seemed to catch them just in time. pretty cool hey.
So we went to a Tangi (funeral at a house) bc Sister S died and so we got invited and went there were a few non members there that we tried talking to but mostly members. They had oysters so of course they made the Pakeha (me) eat them they were going to give me Kina (sea urchin) but they ran out...
All the members are wondering the same thing - who's getting transferred. Elder Butler knows he is staying and Training bc Pres Rudd came to our Stake conference and told a few people about what was happening at transfers (he just said hello to me so i don't know what i'm doing) Bro Harris told me i'm a "Descendant of the Mammoths" bc I'm so hairy apparently hahahaha
Taylor will like this - we were walking past some long grass and as we did this stray cat ran out in front of us and shot off, all I could think "Professor Oak: 'don't go into the long grass... There are wild pokemon in there!!' " (yknow how it goes) hahahahaha it was probably a meowth :P
