Week 16
Hello Everyone
I'll be honest, this past week has been a bit of a struggle; there were times when all our plans fell through, even our backups, when everyone we spoke to didn't want to listen to us. At times I feel a little lost, unsure of what I should be doing. The day when our plans fell through I said a prayer in.. what's the word.. desperation I suppose; I asked for something to do because I felt like I wasn't any use, just as I closed and said 'Amen' I looked up and a lady had stopped in the driveway, wound down her window and just asked "Are you the Mormons? Can you send the Samoan missionaries to my house?" I am very grateful for the tender mercy that I was given.
Scriptures - Alma 37:44-45. Here.
1Cor 1:10 Here. this is for who people say "we all believe in Jesus so it doesn't matter which church, go to you need to tell the other people".
Heb 4:12 Here. I'm pretty sure this is the one about discerning or something.
Proverbs 18:19; Here. 29:18 Here. first one - don't offend people. second one - vision is needed, and keep the law aka commandments = happy (Mosiah 2:41 Here. as well for the happy bit)
We came across a very nice Russian this week. It was pouring with rain and were drenched (I forgot my raincoat, Elder Prasad's jacket doesn't do much), we knocked on his door and he opened it said "don't preach, I'm orthodox, just come in out of the rain and when it stops you can go again" He gave us some biscuits while we waited and we just talked for a bit. He has a dancing cockatoo as well haha.
We have a new investigator this week - E, she is in a PM family - partner is a LA, but their son has been blessed a while ago and they love when we come around. So hopefully we can help them all come to church.
Here are some pictures for the week
