Week 21
Hello all :)
How's everyone? hope no one is sick or anything. So guess what Mum "no hands" yep I can ride my bike without hands now... don't worry I still use my hands when riding. just thought I'd let you know I can hahaha.
We had a really good lesson with our new investigator J, he is willing to be baptised, we haven't set him with a specific date however, it didn't feel right to just yet, but we are planning to set him with a specific date this week. and just last night we met a couple who have a 3 month old and they told us to come back tonight; sharing about eternal families really seemed to catch their interest.
I was reading in John 4:31-38 Here. where it talked about sowing and reaping. and I was thinking about how we plant seeds in peoples hearts and sometimes that's all you get to do with that person and others you will be there for their baptism and be able to teach them and see the fruits of you labour but in the end it doesn't matter which part we did; the sowing, the reaping, or both because we are all part of the same work and we all rejoice together.
I got baptised on Thursday (other Elders in the Ward) He's really cool. I was a witness and then all the Elders participated in his confirmation. He said he felt the burning when he got the Holy Ghost.
Yeah we try to do stuff on P'day Sometimes it works. Elder Gilmore is in my district did I say??
Yes... it was a little of a surprise in Elders Quorum to get a package from Shiree... say thank you for me bc I didn't really get to say anything. the other Elders were like "who's that?" "oh one of the YSAs from back home" hahaha that can't really happen for the americans I suppose haha. Christmas.... idk ...not so much sugar if you want me to come back home looking anything remotely like I did when I left :P
some other scriptures from this week:
1 Peter 3:15 Here. always be ready to tell people why we're happy
1 Peter 5:1-4 Here. Elders
Speaking of photos ... can you send some (even in an email ... or package - whichever) so I can stick them in the my family book.
Thanks
Love you all,
Elder Cox
