In the Mission Field...... Week 1

Its not that cold... only wore a jumper twice after like 7 when its real dark ... it is so dark here. I wore the coat one morning when it was absolutely freezing bc I missed out on a shower - the 6 of us elders in the intake shared a room for the first night in a hotel and there was 1 shower so yeah hahaha. and that was down in Hamilton too so further south I guess. Elder Joseph is from South Africa but he's an Indian... been out 4 months, fav food is crab curry he just said, idk if there is a hot water thing but I always have water ... the shower is weird its like shoulder height sticking out of the wall and I have to crouch to wash my face and hair...I'll send a picture next week.

The ward is tiny Alfriston ward. THEY FEED US TONNES. Yes I'm on a bike got it a transfers... everyone brings their bike wherever they go. I bought my bedding on the 2nd day for $30 so first night I froze. That bike seat is good bc when it gets dew on it when we come back outside after a lesson I have a dry seat.

Yeah Elders Sialaoa and Gilmore from the MTC are in my zone :DD 

Elder Joseph was already here so I just follow him... we got a bunch of investigators 

MILK IS SO EXPENSIVE its like $2 / L so we have to drink it sparingly :( I'm going to do a Poppy and try powder bc that's cheaper than real milk. The iron is pretty rubbish along with the ironing board - thinking of buying an iron like dad but idk how exp they are. people make hot milos all the time... but like people make tea so with hot water and sugar and then you add some milk.... tastes weird. DAD WAS RIGHT THE WATER TASTES SO DIFFERENT I miss aussie water it actually tastes ok. Does he have any tips for riding my bike bc idk if my seat is the right height and I'm sore too so yes TIPS PLEASE :). Elder and Sister Marsden say hello and to say hello to Ma and Poppy for them. Elder Marsden is in charge of cars I think. there is a pic of them with me. Pres Rudd is pretty cool- likes to joke around a bit. One photo is my Tahitian buddy who will be coming to Hamilton soon bc he was in ESL. And the other one was a board in the MTC and I saw Johnny (green bananas) and Pres Peteru (dunno if thats spelt right but yeah bird man muppets) thought that was cool. and last ones are emails at MTC :)
